At the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT), Avery Dennison invited attendees to explore the possibilities of leveraging digital ID technology for seamless connectivity throughout the supply chain.
Avery Dennison attended the inaugural Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) from February 28 to March 1, 2024. Organized by Messe Frankfurt and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), the expo was spanning 15,000 square meters, featured over 400 booths from 16 countries and territories worldwide, including the UK, Germany, the US, Switzerland, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Thailand, and India.
Watch this brief video highlighting our participation at VIATT 2024:
Using the theme of "Everything Connected," our team hosted a 36-square-meter booth where we showcased our revolutionary digital ID portfolio and factory solutions (including in-plant printing) that enable our customers to gain real-time insights, enhance supply chain efficiency, minimize waste, foster circularity, and work towards achieving the sustainability goals through triggers, data and applications. We also presented our Embelex on-garment branding solutions and newness collections that elevate the brand values for our customers through customization and personalization.
These demonstrations highlighted how Avery Dennison technology plays a pivotal role in connecting the physical and digital to solve some of the world’s most complex challenges in the apparel industry.
Additional items displayed included the connected jersey, Swijin performance wear embedded with digitally connected heat transfer labels, a digitally-connected BYBORRE scarf, and Transnomadica vintage jeans embedded with digitally-connected printed fabric labels. Embelex Agility® HD heat transfers for sports jerseys, which can be digitally enabled, were also on display.
During the event, Paul Nguyen, sales director, Mainland Southeast Asia, Apparel Solutions and Alexandre Lalumiere, director, In-Plant Printing Solutions, spoke at the public seminar in a session titled: “Connected Digital and Supply Chain Apparel Solutions for Greater Visibility, Enable Traceability with Maximum Efficiency and Better Consumer Engagement.”
Additionally, a customization area equipped with a Thermopatch electric heat press bonding machine was accessible for visitors to craft personalized tote bags using the latest Embelex Agility® HD heat transfer labels.
"Vietnam stands as the world's third-largest exporter of textiles and apparel while also ranking among the highest importers of textile machinery,” said Chau Nguyen, vice president general manager, Mainland Southeast Asia, Apparel Solutions. “While many retailers grasp the concept of digital ID technology, the real breakthrough lies in its potential to seamlessly link every aspect of the supply chain. Avery Dennison, with its distinctive position, aims to enlighten and empower retailers and manufacturers with end-to-end visibility.”
