Avery Dennison and NFL’s New York Jets bring digitally-enabled fan experiences to London

MENTOR, OH – October 7, 2024 — Avery Dennison (NYSE: AVY), a global leader in materials science and digital identification solutions, announced its exciting partnership with the New York Jets at the "Touchdown Tailgate" event in Shoreditch, London. The celebration took place on October 5, offering NFL fans a dynamic day of football action and marking Avery Dennison’s NFL collaboration in London.

Thousands of attendees had the chance to meet NFL legends, such as Wayne Chrebet, and enjoy fan engagement designed to replicate the true spirit of an American tailgate leading up to the Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings watch party the following day.

The event follows Avery Dennison’s continued success in elevating the sports fan experience through partnerships with top global leagues, including the Premier League and LALIGA. At the event, Avery Dennison offered fans exclusive opportunities to personalize their Jets merchandise with special edition digitally enabled NFC badges, specifically designed for the London game. Fans could also win branded giveaway prizes by participating in a "spin the wheel" game at the Avery Dennison activation booth.

A key highlight of the event was Avery Dennison’s innovative Embelex technology, which bridges the gap between physical products and digital experiences. The limited edition London game jerseys feature NFC-enabled patches, allowing fans to scan the logo and access exclusive content on the Jets website. By embedding technologies such as NFC, RFID, and QR codes, Avery Dennison transforms how fans interact with their favorite teams, providing deeper engagement both inside and outside the stadium.
